AFTI was founded by
a group of people, Afghan and international, who work for development in
Afghanistan.
The company is not motivated by high income and various
members support various projects voluntarily.
Our commitment is to Afghanistan and its development. We believe that an important key to this
development is working to build strong, sustainable and genuine capacity,
skills and learning in the people who need to administer, operate and lead
the infrastructures of this county.
Trainers and
Teachers
Our training and teaching staff are also drawn from
skilled people in both the Afghan and the international community.
Some are employed full-time, whilst others are employed
short-term for particular courses. We employ only qualified and competent
trainers and teachers.
They are subject to initial and ongoing review. We encourage client reviews and assessment
of our trainers and teachers as a part of every course we conduct.
Quality
Assurance and Accreditation
We are committed to the highest international standards in
our work.
Currently we are discussing partnerships with established training
bodies outside of Afghanistan which will mean we will be able to deliver
qualifications under their supervision.
This will involve the training body providing us with Training
Packages, course materials and certification services, based on a Quality
Assurance process they negotiate with us.
We will provide the staff and deliver the training in
Afghanistan. This will provide quality
assurance and recognised accreditation.
Until this partnership is achieved we will maintain
international standards in our training. Our training and assessment is based
upon those standards.
All courses involve pre- and post-course testing to enable
the appropriate placement of participants and to evaluate competencies and
learning gained.
Courses and participants are assessed on:
·
Attendance
·
Participation
·
Outside Classroom Work (homework,
etc)
·
Tests, quizzes and practical work
during the course, and
·
Final Assessment of participants
achievements of the competencies for the training
Trainers and teachers are also assessed
by participants during the course. We encourage client organisations to
conduct their own evaluations and assessments of during and after each
course.
Reporting
Clients receive full and thorough reports on each course
and each participant in the course. We can adapt our reporting methods to the
needs of the client organisation and its donors.
Gap
Analysis
We welcome the opportunity to discuss your training needs.
We can provide courses upon request or we can conduct a gap analysis to
better define your training needs. The
extent of a gap analysis is based upon discussion - it can consist of a
simple meeting or meetings with management through to surveys and interviews
of staff members.
